You forgot to mention one of the most important factors in controlling diabetes, actually I can think of a couple more simple things that need to be done.
1. Drink water-1/2 your body weight called ounces-every day starting at 8AM, 4 oz. every 1/2 hour until its gone.
2. No sweets or complex carbohydrates after 2PM. That's when your body starts gearing down for the nights sleep.
3. Get as much chlorophyll containing food into your diet, or green drinks, powder, or pills. Chlorophyll helps the body create its own insulin.
Hope I'm not intruding. I hope this helps.
I have some tips on my blog, but they are not specifically geared toward diabetes, just general health & lifestyle principles. www.healthisalifestyle.wordpress.com I'd love to see you come by and leave a comment!
Have a wonderful Healthy Day,

I am so glad to have read this. I have had terrible reflux for years and am diabetic and was taking a medication for it every day. Recently I stopped taking my medicine and am just trying to do it naturally with yogurt, not eating spicy foods, food right before bed, etc... I also have to say that after i have a bad attack the next morning i have problems with my asthma because of the throat damage with a reflux attack.

[...] LEAP is a program that has helped many people get off acid reflux medications. Learn more about how a food sensitivity blood test can identify specific foods that are causing you pain and inflammation, and help you make diet changes that eliminate acid reflux problems naturally. Contact Karen for more information.
Diabetes is becoming a worldwide problem and epidemic. The world leaders should take more action to help educate citizens about diabetes prevention and the cause of type 2 diabetes.
