Karen Marschel, RDN, LD, CDE
My passion for helping people with diabetes began in college when I started to realize that many of the problems my dad had been dealing with from diabetes could have been prevented. He was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes when I was 12 and has now lived with diabetes for over 30 years. I had gestational diabetes 18 years ago and have prediabetes now.
I am also in my 40s and have realized it brings a whole new set of challenges, including weight control, menopause, and losing strength and muscle tone easily. To stay healthy, fit and avoid blood sugar problems I now have to work harder and keep good nutrition and exercise a priority in my life.
I have been helping people control and reverse diabetes for 18 years and would love to work with you as well.
